SHIROTSU began as an experimental design practice in 2018 and was officially established as a fashion brand in 2023, born from the ongoing design dialogue between Sayuri and Giovanni. The brand name comes from their first experiments with Japanese white silicone, transforming Sayuri’s suarname “Kurotsu” (black) into “white,” symbolizing a new beginning and the spirit of reinterpretation.
At its core, SHIROTSU blends reinterpreted materials with the designers’ distinct cultural backgrounds. Through playful tailoring and meticulous construction, the brand creates seasonless, genderless garments, each produced in limited quantities.
